Kilian Kerner will present his SS 2010 collection „Tagebucheinträge" on Friday, July 3rd, 2009, during the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

At 2 PM on Friday July 3rd, 2009, the fashion label KILIAN KERNER will take to the catwalks of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week for the third time in a row. "Tagebucheinträge" (engl. Diary Entries) which is Kilian Kerner's ninth collection to date, remains true to his emotional approach to design: Five anonymous diary entries served as inspiration for this 2010 summer collection.

Sensuality is the buzzword for Kilian Kerner's women's line. His emphasis is on dresses, from long evening gowns and elegant cocktail dresses to casual shirt dresses. Design elements of circles and pleats stand out and resurface in other product groups. Fabrics such as silk, silk jersey, cotton, leather and pony laser underscore the sensual color palette of gold, green, white and black.

The men's line by contrast is laid back. Classic design meets rockabilly. Here Kilian Kerner plays with silhouettes, making a departure from form fitting clothing and instead offering fresh interpretations. The color palette moves within a range of classic tones of blue, black, grey and silver.

This year Kilian Kerner will be presenting work in cooperation with Berlin designer Anja Bruhn, with whom he has created bags and belts for the label Kerner&Bruhn. „We were eager to collaborate, as we compliment each other extremely well," said Kilian Kerner of their teamwork. Along with the accessories derived from this collaboration, models will also be wearing sumptuous jewelry from the Hamburg label ElfCraft, which counts the likes of Victoria Beckham and Depeche Mode among its admirers.

This year, the „fashion and music" concept will enter its fifth season and, here too, Kilian Kerner has a creative partner: The band Mor/La/Peach will performance „Savages," a song created especially for Kilian Kerner's show, for the first time at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin.

A further highlight of the show will be that the roughly 40 KILIAN KERNER models will exclusively appear upon a classy tile catwalk from the stalwart house of Villeroy & Boch.

Kilian Kerner

Kilian Kerner (1979), was born and raised in Cologne. He studied drama in Cologne and Berlin between 2000 and 2003, until he discovered his passion for fashion in 2004. He then set out to found his label KILIAN KERNER. For the designs of his first collection "Überhaubt und du" he lets his intuition guide him. Within the first three years this young company manages to successfully establish itself, particularly in the international market. Kilian Kerner sells his styles in: Asia, UK, France and the USA.

KILIAN KERNER has shown a positive presence in cities such as: New York, Las Vegas, Paris, London and Berlin. July 2008 will see the first show within the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in the vibrant German capital. The Spring Summer 2009 collection "Sekundenflüge" shows elegant womenswear, paired with slim dandy-silhouettes for men. A new interpretation of the body shape is born. Asymmetrical and extraordinary combinations of material meet classical details.

The Berlin resident by choice tells stories through his designs. With the Berlin band, SplinterX, producing a song suited to each particular collection. The concept of "fashion and music" currently embarks upon the third season.

Kilian Kerner's celebrity fans include; Jeanette Biedermann and Nora Tschirner amongst other German actors and Musicians. As well as international stars such as Natalia Tena, known for her appearance in "Harry Potter" and "About a boy" and Luke Pritchard, lead singer of the successful British indie band, "The Kooks".
