『 UMBAU 』
The collection "UMBAU" is influenced by a mathematical-geometrical way of thinking. It is characterized by the fascination for the (de -)construction of three dimensional objects and stands for the act of "rebuildung". Inspired by this approach, clothes were developed which have a constructed look because of quilting technics or patchwork. Due to godets and inserts, an additionial three dimensional, physical volume appears. Sweatshirts, shorts and jackets have a second elastic mesh layer with a pocket function. Another highlight is a t-shirt with two integrated "shopper" bags, which - due to an elastic shoulder strap - can be used as a real functional bag or, without the strap, look like additional built-on objects. Through pleats and a diagonal hem on shorts an angular hem arises. The blue patchwork print is developed through a photo of a six sided mirror prisma, that was deconstructed and then re-built in a new way. As accessories you will find a multifunctional body-expander as well as necklaces made out of leather and metal with pendants in the shape of letters and words that were taken from the collection. The colours of the collection are different shades of white and grey, silver, lemon and diverse tones of blue and black. The materials include very light and soft cotton and silk jerseys, sheer silk and elastic mesh material as well as very compact materials like terry cloth and coated linen.

POSTWEILER HAUBER is the brand by Raphael Hauber (*1977 in Bretten Germany). It was founded in 2003.
For POSTWEILER HAUBER fashion means mainly changes the perception and filtering of vibrations that have not been mentioned and described before.
These vibrations are merged into one product consisting of both collection and presentation.
The presentation as a show performance or video sequence is as important as each single piece of clothes itself because it helps to experience the collection background the whole theme.
The theme of a collection is usually dealing with a current cultural social or aesthetical topic that seems to be justified and truely exclusive at the present moment. The common trends are less significant for that but that does not mean that they are neglected.
POSTWEILER HAUBER like to reach people who are open-minded and who recognize what zeitgeist is people who have similar feelings for the environment we choose to live in people who discern the whole work.
POSTWEILER HAUBER do not invent new trousers or new shirts out of the blue but like a DJ he make new compositions samples and mixes. This way a new kind of shirt is created while the basis is always well-known.
It is however irrelevant if the concept evokes a new piece or the 1:1 copy of a classic and its new combination turns out outstanding.
