Q1. Please outline your concept for AW11 and the reasons behind it.

eryn brinié FW11 draws from the old world charms of the Edwardian era. The fine detailing, ruffles and luxurious fabrics are interpreted in a thoroughly modern way whilst maintaining its decadent allure and subtle charm.

Q2. For this season, what fabrics are you paying attention to?

Low gauge knit, jersey, coarse wool all add to the old world charm of the collection whilst feather prints and sequins on dresses add decadence.

Q3. What role does color play in your AW11 collection?

Pastel hues of ivory, oatmeal, mélange gray and Indian rose are accented with burgundy, deep emerald, khaki and black.

Q4. Please choose 3 key items from the collection and outline why you chose them.

Fur trimmed hooded manteau coat because it reminds us of little red riding hood.
Khaki parka with detachable fleece vest for its utilitarian qualities.
Knit looped vest for its dramatic texture.

Q5. Please tell us what things are important to you when thinking of a new design.

The feeling of the design is very important to us. We always try to conjure a feeling and capture that into aesthetics of the design.

Q6. What do you think of fashion in Japan?

We feel Japan has always been at the forefront of innovation in fashion in its design as well as technology. We very much admire the constant creativity Japanese designers strive for.

Q7. Is there any news of your brand?

We have opened a lot of new accounts throughout Europe with our 12 SS collection so you will be able to find eryn brinié more easily in Europe!
