Q1. Please outline your concept for AW11 and the reasons behind it.

theme : [ splash water, splash ink. ]

MANMADE NATURAL autumn winter 2011 - 12 collection which is inspired by art Master Zhang Daqian [ 張大千] who is well-known with his free style -- "splash ink and splash color painting"

[ 大寫意 ]. In autumn winter 2011 -12 series designers tried some new technology and fabrics development such as "shadow - printing" / "garment velvet - coating" / spray dyeing / paper touching down jacket ... to present abstract [ ZEN ] style.

Q2. For this season, what fabrics are you paying attention to?

For 2011fw collection, 90% of fabrics were developed by our lab-room.

such as,
1. "paper - touching" it's a very thin nylon fabric for down jacket.
2. Quality jersey ( 80's tencel /silk ; cashmere wool /cotton ... )
3. Super fine lambskin leather ( 0.3 mm ), which contributed by a experience engineer.

Q3. What role does color play in your AW11 collection?

Regarding the colour for AW11 collection, we will have dusty blood and dusty blue mix a monotone palette.

Q4. Please choose 3 key items from the collection and outline why you chose them.

1. "paper - touching down jacket"
-- new amazing fabric developed for 2011 fw ;

2."shadow - printing cut & sew top"
-- new printing skill developed for 2011 fw, And that is a "moving line" concept ;

3. limited item "ink - dyed leather biker jacket"
-- personal produced for fans and friends.

Q5. Please tell us what things are important to you when thinking of a new design.

"fashion is a kind of art to me."

Q6. What do you think of fashion in Japan?

Japanese fashion are in 4 words: "detailed, quality, creative, respect"
And our design director-Tony is definite a big fan of Japanese fashion.

MANMADE NATURAL 2012 s/s collection [ manmade is natural ] is coming soon.
